CERN Neutrino Platform - Theory working group (CENF-TH)

The Neutrino Platform is CERN’s undertaking to foster and contribute to fundamental research in neutrino physics at particle accelerators worldwide.

The CERN Theory department contributes to this activity with a dedicated effort in theoretical neutrino physics. CENF-TH aims at strengthening the connections between CERN and the worldwide neutrino community, and at promoting research in theoretical neutrino physics at CERN and elsewhere. We work in close collaboration with the Fermilab Theory group. Research topics we are most interest in include:

  • precision calculations for current and future neutrino oscillation experiments
  • searches for physics beyond the Standard Model using neutrinos
  • neutrino-nucleus interactions
  • neutrino cosmology
  • astrophysical neutrinos

Visiting CENF-TH

As an important part of the CERN neutrino program we welcome scientists working in theoretical neutrino physics and related areas to apply to one of the CERN-TH visitor programs (please mention "TH-neutrino platform" in the application comments field).

The Neutrino Platform (TH), in cooperation with the CERN TH group, is committed to facilitate participation in its activities by parents who try to balance career with parenthood. Information about a local nanny services are provided here.

Coordinators

CENF-TH is coordinated by:

  • Gabriela Barenboim, University of Valencia
  • Pilar Hernandez, University of Valencia
  • Patrick Huber, Virginia Tech
  • Joachim Kopp, CERN and JGU Mainz
  • Stephen Parke, Fermilab
  • Silvia Pascoli, University of Bologna
  • Thomas Schwetz, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
