The CERN Winter School on Supergravity, Strings and Gauge Theory is the continuation of the yearly training school of the former EC-RTN string network "Constituents, Fundamental Forces and Symmetries of the Universe".
The school is supported and organized by the CERN Theory Department.
Previous schools in this series can be found at the link to the previous editions in the left menu.
Like its predecessors, this school is meant primarily for the training of doctoral students and young postdoctoral researchers in recent developments in theoretical high-energy physics and string theory.
The school will cover topics in the following areas: black holes, quantum field theory, string field theory.
The program of the school will consist of five series of pedagogical lectures, complemented by discussion sessions.
Invited speakers:
- Chris Akers - TBA
- Alejandra Castro (TBC) - Quantum aspects of near-extremal black holes
- Yiming Chen - Fortuity and chaos of black hole microstates
- Thomas Dumitrescu - Aspects of Symmetry and Gauge Dynamics
- Ashoke Sen - Applications of String Field Theory
